Take the south exit of Hibarigaoka Station and walk past Parco. Turn right at the Family Mart and take the first right. When you start to worry that you made a wrong turn you will see a narrow garden pathway that marks the entrance of La Vie En Fleur.
Before opening their store in 1999, the Uno’s had careers in very different fields. Mr. Uno in fashion and Mrs. Uno in traveling.
The main reason the owners decided to open a flower shop is because they love flowers. Not only did they want to share their love of flowers, but they also wanted people to receive flowers as gifts and to share happiness.
“It isn’t easy starting a business, but if you don’t try you’ll never know” the owners say.
The store does it’s best to stock hard-to-find flowers and they do so using fresh water from a well. La Vie En Fleur never uses tap water.
What they recommend depends on the season. Soon in the spring, they will be recommending tulips and sakura branches.
La Vie En Fleur also specializes in flower arrangement and offer flower arrangement classes.
